She Drills 19 Holes In A Wooden Planter Box. 5 Months Later?

It’s that time of year — many of us are looking longing out into our backyards and hoping to get the opportunity to plant something to grow this summer. Well, here’s a way that you can build your very own planter box.

This is especially useful if you don’t have a lot of space around your house to garden, but it’s also good if you just want to have a very special display of flowers, or need an easy way to manage your plants. Let’s take a look!

You’ll need to get yourself a planter box. Ones like these are made of plywood and are fairly cheap. You can drill holes all throughout the box, like the one in this picture, to allow your flowers to grow out the sides of the box, if you want.
Next up, you’ll do the planting. You need good potting soil, and you’ll want to make sure that it’s a little moist to allow the seeds to germinate. The soil in this picture has also had weed guard sprinkled on top of it.

Put in your first row of flowers, sticking them through the holes you made, and then layer soil on top of them.

You can use packing peanuts as filler if necessary.

Continue to add rows of flowers until you’ve filled the box.

You’ll need to water the flowers every day, but then they’ll start to grow…

And grow some more…

And eventually they’ll look absolutely beautiful, like in this last photograph!

Now get out there and make the most of the planting season! Share away, people!
