Man Finds A Tiny Kitten At The Back Of His Truck — And Did The Right Thing

Garbage trucks are called a variety of names, trash truck, rubbish truck, bin wagon or bin lorry. There are many varieties some with very specific purposes. The ones we are most familiar with and see around our neighborhoods can be front loaders, side loaders or rear loaders. We all know what goes in garbage trucks – right? Garbage.

Mark G. is a sanitation work from Upper Darby Township Sanitation, in Pennsylvania. Recently, he was dumping a can into the truck when he noticed something moving inside one of the bags! Rather startling, I would imagine! He opened the bag and saw that it was a tiny calico kitten!
Mark quickly called animal control. In Media, Pennsylvania, Providence Animal Center in Media learned of the kittens rescue and took custody of her.

They named her after Oscar the Grouch’s girlfriend, Grundgetta (her name is bigger than she!) Mark said he is glad that he found her and that she is now safe.
Grundgetta is full of love and is doing quite well! She will be moved to a foster home that has experience bottle feeding kittens, Grundgetta is only about 3-4 weeks old!

In 4-5 weeks, when she no longer needs the bottle and is big enough, she will be put up for adoption. Mark has plans to go see Grundgetta when she is ready for adoption.

Mark did the right thing, Grundgetta didn’t deserve to be put in a trash bag and thrown out!
